Entry #6: Las Vegas

So last weekend I went on a trip to Las Vegas.  Now keep in mind this was my first time going to Las Vegas so I really don't know what to expect other than a lot of casinos.  Well first thing is first, Nevada looks a lot like Arizona.  I didn't feel really amazed at first because it was really another dessert, and Las Vegas happened to be in the middle of nowhere.

As soon as I arrived in Las Vegas with my family, we stayed in the Flamingo Hotel.  It was an average hotel, not too fancy but then again not too disgusting.  Anyways, they had FLAMINGOS IN THE HOTEL!  I never saw flamingos so getting a chance to see them was really cool, although I forgot to take a picture of them.

The best part of the trip was walking down the strip at night and seeing all the lights from all the buildings, but what I found to be the coolest thing in Las Vegas was visiting the Strat Hotel.  It was so cool because me and my mom went to the very top of this needle like structure and to get the chance to see the whole city from a very high altitude was really exhilarating.

Overall, I thought the experience of visiting Las Vegas was better than I have expected.  Although, it is definitely not made for people who are under 21 years of age, but still a good experience.  What do you guys think about Las Vegas?

  1. Yea I agree with you that Las Vegas is not for the people under 21 but there are still a lot of cool things to do there even if you are not 21. When I went a long time ago we rode a lot of rides they had it one building I forgot which one.

  2. I haven’t been to Las Vegas since I was a kid and I had no business going at a young age but my family liked to go to casinos and doing adult things. Now that I’m older I will like to go just to go to the Harley Davidson store. I’ve also never seen a flamingo in my life before so that’s good that you saw one for the first time.
